Lauren Simons is an 11-year-old boy from Belgium who recently earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from the Antwerp University. And now he becomes the second-youngest graduate in the world. So in today’s blog, we are going to know everything you need to know about Lauren Simons
In the ranking for youngest graduate, Michael Kearny had held the seat. He graduated at age 10 in the year 1994. Then now Lauren Simons ranks 2nd at the age of 11 years.
Lauren received his high school diploma when he was at 8 years of age. He also completed his high school graduation in just a year and a half. This is incredible, isn’t it?.
Lauren Simons completed the 3year course in one year, graduated summa cum laude. Summa Cum Laude is an honorary title given to the student with the highest distinction. Fewer students got this degree Summa cum Laude and this given to students who pass with the highest distinction. And Lauren Simons get this degree where he graduated in Physics with 85% percentage. Now after completing a bachelor’s degree in Physics, Simons wants to pursue a Master’s in Physics at the University of Flemish.
Lauren Simons is from Ostend, Belgium. He lives on the Flemish coast.
“Simons has been studying for his bachelor’s degree in physics since March 2020, and he now graduated with 85 per cent, which is the highest distinction,”Statement by an Antwerp University spokesperson told Brussels Times.
“This year, he also took some courses from the master’s program. After the summer, he will officially start his master’s degree,”a spokesperson said Simons will also be working on getting a Ph.D. at the same time.
Some sources said that he wanted to know everything about classical mechanics and quantum physics immediately.
Lauren has said that his aim is to make humans immortal.
“I want to be able to replace as many body parts as possible with mechanical parts. I have mapped out a path to get there.”
