Mr Irfan khan was born in Rajasthan state’s Muslim “Pathan” family. Irfan Khan’s mother named “Saeeda Begum Khan“, and father named “Yaseen Ali Khan” were from the Khajuriya village in Tonk district Rajasthan. They are into a tire business. In early life, Irfan khan has an interest in cricket and they were selected to play in the “CK Nayudu Trophy” for emerging players in the under-23 category, However, they did not played because they cannot able to afford traveling expenses.
Interest in Acting
As they grow up they showed up interest in acting, under the influence of his uncle who was a theatre artist in Jodhpur. For studying acting they joined in The National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi. They completed their MA in Jodhpur district in the year 1984. In the 1990s, they Appeared in the film “Ek Doctor Ki Maut“(1990), “Such a Long Journey“(1998), and various other films, which went unnoticed. In 1998, they played Valmiki in Sanjay Khan’s serial “Jai Hanuman” (Which probably you have seen).

In 2012, they changed their first name from “Irfan” to “Irrfan“. They said, “They like the sound of the extra “r” in his name”. In 2016 they dropped “Khan” from his name because according to an interview they wanted that his work defines him, not their lineage.
They had a clear and broad mindset. and hence they also are known as “Simply Irfan”.
