How corona is taking out everything we love? Ft. IPL latest news
After the announcement of IPL postponed by BCCI, IPL lovers get shocked and disappointed. Let’s take a look at IPL lover’s situation amidst postponed news.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 came to a sudden end after few players and staff tested positive for the virus. This situation forced BCCI to suspend the most popular league in the world of Cricket. So in today’s blog we are going to see how IPL has postponed on IPL latest news.
IPL on Tuesday (04th May 2021) suspended IPL league after multiple cases came positive with the Virus. But it is not the first time that a foremost T20 world league has been postponed in the middle due to the virus.
“The BCCI does not want to negotiate on the safety of the players, support staff, and the other participants involved in organizing the IPL. The decision was taken keeping the safety, health, and well-being of all the stakeholders in mind. The BCCI will do everything in its powers to arrange for the secure and safe passage of all the participants in IPL 2021,”An official statement by BCCI.
But rather talking on decision taken by BCCI we can talk on possibilities. The possibility of IPL 2021 is after World T20. After world T20 in the month of November might be the most appropriate time to complete IPL 2021.
The only possible one-month gap to complete IPL 2021 seems to be in September. The only possible gap when India returns from England. The tour will end on the 14th of September. Then the BCCI can squeeze in the league in a compressed three week period ending by the beginning of the second week in October.
A way can be created later in the year to finish the IPL league. But as per India’s hectic international commitments, it will be a difficult proposition. It is difficult to find a four-week period that is needed to finish the remaining matches.
Unlike before pandemics, where the players have to travel by bus. This time a number of teams had to fly out to different places by air. Today, in the pandemic situation player had to check in the airport terminals and possibly got infected. This report concludes from NDTV. The NDTV report claims that the teams have demanded tarmac access to the state government. But it was denied by the state governments.
“NDTV has learned two players and one team coach contracted COVID-19 while travelling through the airport terminus. Teams had demanded tarmac access from state governments, which was denied, thus risking the players. In UAE, there was no air travel,”
The NDTV report says.
Let’s take a look at India’s international scheduled matches for the year 2021:
