Remembering Guru Gobind Singh Ji, on Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti. Guru Gobind Singh Ji was the 10th Sikh Guru, a spiritual master, warrior, poet, and philosopher. I am wishing them on his 354th birth anniversary. Guru Gobind Singh born and named as Gobind Rai. They were the 10th and last human Sikh Guru after Tegh Bahadur Singh, who also was father of Guru Gobind Singh.

Guru Gobind Singh became the formal Leader of Sikhs at the age of 9 years after his father Tegh Bahadur Singh were executed by Aurangzeb.

His teachings will always inspire people to serve the mankind in a selfless manner of life. Today we commemorate the birth of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, guru and father of the Khalsa community with Amrit Sanchar (Sikh initiation). We remember His example of all that is righteous, never letting go of virtue, even in the face extreme circumstances.

Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Teachings:

Do as much possible to serve and aid foreigners, those in need, or in trouble. Do not gossip, nor slander, or be spiteful to anyone Donate a tenth of your earnings to help needy ones.
Guru Gobind Singh Ji created and initiated “The Khalsa” community as a warrior with a duty to protect the innocent persons in the society. He also founded the principles of Khalsa or you can say the Five ‘K’s. The 5K’s are KESH, KANGHA, KARA, KACHERA and KIRPAN. Guru Gobind Singh commanded all Khalsa Sikhs to wear all this time with them.

In the year 1699, Guru Gobind Singh Ji founded the Khalsa Vani which means –

“WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH”.

He also named all his followers with the title Singh which means lion. He also known to finish “Guru Granth Sahib” the sacred and primary scripture in Sikhism.

Guru Gobind Singh ji shows the qualities that make one fit to become part of his world mission called the Khalsa Panth – to live with courage and bravery to the highest levels of righteousness.

Guru Gobind Singh was born with a holy mission of which they tells us in his autobiography “Bachitar Natak”

“For this purpose was I born, let all virtuous people understand advance righteousness, to emancipate the good & to destroy all evil doers root & branch”.
